TALA CAUVERY
Situated on the slopes of Brahmagiri Hills, Tala Cauvery is the birth place of the sacred river “Cauvery”. “Tula Sankramana” is an auspicious day in the region, which falls on October 17th of every year. On this day, when the Sun enters Tula Rasi, at an auspicious time, a fountain from a small tank fills the larger holy tank indicating the rise and arrival of the holy river. This region is associated with the names of Pandavas, the mighty heroes of the immortal Indian epic, the Mahabharatha. BHAGAMANDALA
Bhagamandala derives its importance from the Bhagandeshwara temple located at the river confluence of Cauvery, Kannike & mythical Sujothi. This “Triveni Sangama’ is considered to be sacred and attracts a large number of pilgrims during the Tula Sankramana month. It’s a common practice for pilgrim to take a dip at the Triveni Sangama and performs ritual to their ancestors before proceeding to Tala Cauvery. Distance 44 kms from prakruthi vana.

CHELAVARA FALLS
Chelvara Falls is a natural waterfall formed by small stream, a tributary of Kaveri near Cheyyandane village which is on Virajpet - Talakaveri State Highway around 9 km from Prakruthi homestay, in the state of Karnataka, India.
OMKARESHWARA TEMPLE - MADIKERI
Omkareshwar Temple had been built by King Lingarajendra in 1820 in his dedication to Lord Shiva. This temple is mixture of Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture, with a dome in the centre and four turrets at the four corners. In front of the temple there is a holy pond, in the middle of which there is a small “mantapam” connected by the narrow cause way.
RAJA SEAT - MADIKERI
Raja’s Seat, literally meaning Seat of the King, is an elevated spot located at the western end of prakruthi vana and is a well maintained garden with a great view of the hills and the valley below and having a small pavilion inside. Studded with paddy fields, the blue mountain peaks with a golden light of the sunset, Raja’s seat adds a new grace and splendor, which a tourist rarely misses.
ABBI FALLS - MADIKERI
A thrilling drive amidst forests and coffee plantations takes one to the most popular picnic spot of Coorg, Abbi Falls, which cascade down from 70 feet height like a fabulous painting.
THE FORT WITH PALACE - MADIKERI
Kodagu was ruled by the Haleri Kings between 1600 and 1834. Muddu Raja of Haleri dynasty, built this fort in 1681. The palace within the fort was rebuilt by Tippu Sultan, the tiger of Mysore in 1790 and again by King Lingaraja during 1820. The fort is presently converted to house Government offices. The Palace is a mixture of Kerala and European style of architecture. Two life size elephants made of mortar stand majestically and catches one’s eyes on entering. A public library and a museum of historical relics are housed in the Fort with Place.
GADDIGE - MADIKERI
King Lingarajendra constructed the tomb in memory of his elder brother Virarajendra. The tomb is situated at the northern extremity of Mahadevpet and is enclosed by a high embankment.

DUBBARE ELEPHANT CAMP - KUSHALNAGAR
It is a natural island with approximately 11 acres of land. The Dubare forest area is maintained by the forest department, which runs an elephant training camp here. One can enjoy boating and fishing. It is a cool picnic spot. Distance 43 kms from prakruthi vana.
CAUVERY NISARGADAMA - KUSHALNAGAR
Kaveri Nisargadama is an island formed by the river Kaveri. With lush foliage of thick bamboo grooves, sandal wood and teak trees, this island measuring 65 acres makes an attractive tourist centre. This island is accessible through a hanging rope bridge maintained by the forest department. Boating, tree top shelters and elephant riding are the other attractions. HARANGI RESERVOIR - KUSHALNAGAR

NAMDROLING MONASTERY (TIBET CAMP) KUSHALNAGAR - MYSORE ROAD
Bylakuppe, near Kushal Nagar has the largest Tibetan settlement in South India and is located 90 kms away from Mysore city on the Mysore – prakruthi vana Road. The Tibetan community has recently built “Namdrolling Monastery” which is world famous Tibetan Golden Temple, certainly a toast to the eyes. Nagarhole National Park (also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park), is a national park located in Kodagu district and Mysore district in Karnataka state in South India. This park was declared the thirty seventh Project Tiger tiger reserve in 1999. It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
